Another Facebook Social Ads Profitable Campaign
Filed Under (Profitable Campaign Examples) by Ross on 08-09-2008
So a number of you have hit me up on AIM requesting I post more profitable campaign examples. Although I definately can agree that seeing a profitable campaign and analyzing why it works is useful, you need to keep in mind I’m getting nothing in return for giving away my bread and butter.
The previous campaign I posted here, about 10 people (that I know of) ran it - most making over $1,000 off of it. If all 10 people did $1,000 - that pretty much means I gave away $10,000. What a nice guy I am eh?
Campaign Details
Campaign Name: Ipsos - Italy
Advertising Medium: Facebook
Average ROI: 250%
Affiliate Network: MAXBounty
This campaign has had a rediculous ROI for me since I started running it. I’m mostly giving it away because I don’t run it anymore due to the fact that Maxbounty hasn’t set me up on weeklys and I don’t like waiting more than a week to see my money (let that be a lesson to all you aff networks out there).
While I’m giving away a profitable campaign, I am only going to post the ad I use and not my landing page. I feel that this will help everyone to learning more than just plagerizing my work. I have given plenty of examples of how to make successful landing pages for the Facebook audiance, so just look back and take the advice.
I was to lazy to take a screenshot of my ad, so I just posted the text and image. This ad peaked at around a 0.90 CTR which gave $0.02 clicks (hence the massive ROI).
Good luck with the campaign. Feel free to sign up using my aff link if you feel so inclinded.

Great information there Ross. I can see why you decided not to promote this offer anymore. Running this ad for a full month without a payout means you need some deep pockets to pay for the ad before getting your cheque. We’re talking about $6000 easily and you need bigger pockets to achieve this
Woah!

Hi,
when you had a 0.9% CTR and had a $0.02 click, how much were u bidding?
My facebook ads all seems to have a high CPC when starting.. (Meaning when they ask me to set my bids, they recommended like $0.40
Ivan,
When going through the ad creation process, Facebook assumes a 0.07% CTR. Right off the bat you are going to have to set your CPC to around $0.20 to get some impressions - then once your ad has received quite a few impressions and your CTR is high - lower it incrementally till you find the sweet spot, where you are still getting as many clicks as possible - but not paying out the arse for it.
So for example - this campaign. I get my ad up and approved and set the initial CPC at $0.20. After 100-200 clicks I’ll lower my bid to $0.15 and see if the amount of clicks I get are dropping off. After another 100-200 clicks, if my clicks have yet to drop off - do the same thing.
had this really a CTR of 0.09%? Strangely, i’m doing a survey campaign too in these days, but my CTR is very low, and i’m also having click-fraud problems, i think. So, before i finish my free 100$ coupon, can i know more about the targeting andother parameters you have used in this campaign? i’ll be glad to replicate this advertising and see what happening..! my CPC is now 0.15$, and CTR is about 0.03%…!!!!
